John Henderson, who established the business in 2000,
has been a keen walker for many years, this
being mainly in Scotland and the Lake District. He has also been
responsible for researching the interest, history and walking
instructions on the St Cuthbert's Way website. He now sits on the
Route management committee for this walking route. He was even more
involved in the development of the Rob Roy Way, the Sir Walter Scott
Way & the Roman Heritage Way and continues to be
heavily committed in the promotion of these and many other new walking routes.
John has also be heavily involved on a voluntary basis in the development of
several walking festivals in his home region. To learn more about the festivals in the SE
of Scotland click on this link or the appropriate heading on the secondary navigation below.
More recently John has been an active person in the application from Melrose to become a "Walker Are Welcome" community.
He is additionally working with Jedburgh Events Forum to assist them in their application for the same "Walkers Are Welcome" award.

Electronic Newsletter
Walking Support
has established an e-mail newsletter that is published on a relatively
infrequent basis. This newsletter contains updated news on long
distance walking routes where we have both an interest and knowledge.
Sometimes it can contain offers in terms of preferential booking
services or rates for accommodation etc. and it is a source for
highlighting changes that many have arisen on the walking routes or
their websites.
To receive a free copy of this e-newsletter you need to register with
us by click here or using the button on the right hand navigation. You will be offered
the option to unsubscribe at any time by clicking the appropriate link
on all the publications. We commit to not passing your details
to any other person or business.
